My favorite word to teach people when guiding them down the path of empowering themselves is NO.
“No, I don’t want to go out tonight, thanks for inviting me.”
This cultivates self-love, and honors what your truth is. This is also another way we set boundaries, and decide for ourselves what our needs are, and what we want. Maybe instead of going out you know that cuddling up on the sofa with a cup of tea, Netflix, and your favorite assortments of snacks is exactly what you need tonight.
“No, I don’t want that”
“No, I preferred this”
All these responses are examples of us setting our own boundaries.
When the word NO becomes more strong in your lexicon of responses, you’ll find this amazingly magical power you hold where you can create TIME and a greater sense of happiness in your life.
YES is my second favorite word to teach people when guiding them down the path of empowering themselves!
“Yes, I do want to go out tonight, thank you for inviting me”
Maybe this invitation came at a time when your need for companionship and intimacy is most needed. And by saying yes, you have allowed the Universe to give you the type of healing that your Soul needed the most…fun, companionship, love.
Sometimes saying yes when we usually say no leads us to these opportunities that the universe gives us every day! Experiences that fill up our cup, make us laugh a little more than usual, or restore our overall feel of ‘good’.
