Difficult Family Members

The holidays can have an added layer of stress for us especially if we mix with our family like oil and water. We tend to hold onto the stress and we suffer because of it. This is one of the reasons I say that our family members can be our biggest teachers in our life!  They are constantly asking us to stretch ourselves to be more patient, tolerant, understood, ect. When family members become difficult for us to deal with, we must look within to the wells of maturity and wisdom that we have cultivated to help us deal with those difficult family members.

In this weeks video, I share with you how learning to accept our family members is frequently wrapped up in understanding them. You will be given a tip that you can take with you into any family engagement that will help you to cultivate the wisdom, compassion, and love needed to offer a difficult family member our best side.

  1. Wonderful thoughts! What family doesn’t have the difficult member (or two)! Accepting that you can’t change a person is the first step. Only through the influence of your own behavior and words will a person be drawn to a different understanding. Let your actions be the catalyst of change.
